In observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), the Campus Accessibility Team is honoured to host a panel discussion on the importance and impact of campus accessibility.  University of Waterloo community members will discuss the importance of campus accessibility, how campus accessibility impacts them, and how they integrate accessibility into their own work.

Accessibility: The University of Waterloo is committed to achieving barrier-free accessibility for persons with disabilities who are visiting, studying, or working at Waterloo.  

The Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility wants to better understand the current challenges and experiences of people with disabilities when trying to access websites and web content. The survey contains 5 questions and may take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete.

The survey link will be available between July 10th and July 31st.

Disability Decolonized: Lived Experiences, Indigenous Knowledges, and Teachings from Txeemsim

In observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities and Indigenous Disability Awareness Month, the Disability Inclusion Team and the Office of Indigenous Relations are honoured to co-host a keynote presentation by Dr. Rheanna Robinson.

The Multi-Year Accessibility Plan 2023-2025 is now available

This year, National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) is the week of May 28 to June 3.  This is a time to celebrate the contributions of Canadians with disabilities and promote efforts to increase accessibility and inclusion in Canada.

The University of Waterloo is coming together to raise awareness about this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).  The theme for 2021 is Leadership and participation of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible, and sustainable post-COVID-19 world.
