American Canadian School of Medicine
Apply to the American Canadian School of Medicine (ACSOM) program in your second year and enter after your 3B term. Your first year at ACSOM will double as the final year of your degree from the University of Waterloo.
- Waterloo Science students will receive priority consideration for interviews.
- Canadian students receive a 25% discount on tuition.
- Waterloo Science students will receive a 10% discount on top of the Canadian student discount.
- Scholarships are available.
- Students selected in the second year will receive specialized premed programming in their third year at Waterloo to increase their chance of success in the first year of medical school.

SABA University School of Medicine (SUSOM)
University of Waterloo students who successfully complete the BSc Honours Science degree program with a minimum GPA of 75% are eligible for direct entry* into the SUSOM Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Pathway benefits include:
- Eligibility for the $20,000 USD partnership scholarship, as well as existing merit-based and Canadian grants and scholarships.
- A guaranteed admissions interview for pathway participants.
- Access to SUSOM’s comprehensive medical education, where MD program students achieve USMLE and residency placement success.
- The opportunity to undertake select elective rotations in Canada, as well as core and elective rotations in the United States.

Medical University of the Americas (MUA)
University of Waterloo graduates who have successfully achieved their BSc Honours Science degree, with a minimum GPA of 75%, are eligible for direct entry* into the MUA Doctor of Medicine (MD) program.
Participants receive the following benefits:
- Eligibility for the $20,000 USD partnership scholarship, as well as the existing merit-based scholarship.
- MD program students from Canada are eligible to pay tuition and administrative fee costs in CAD, a significant savings when considering current conversion rates.
- A guaranteed admissions interview.
- Access to MUA’s expansive medical education and hands-on training, where MD program students achieve notable residency placement success rates.
- The ability to undertake select elective rotations in Canada, along with core and elective rotations in the United States.

Ross University and American University of the Caribbean
Take the fast-track to medical school at Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC).
- Waterloo students enter the medical school application process at the interview stage.
- All successful candidates are eligible to receive the Waterloo Partner Scholarship, a one-time award of $7,500 USD for the first semester of enrollment. Other scholarships are also available.
