Environment 3 (EV3) Building located on Waterloo's Campus, across from Laurel Creek.

Gain advanced training and expertise in climate change, including climate change science, vulnerability and adaptation, and mitigation with the Master of Climate Change program.

This on-campus program can be completed in one year of full-time study or can be completed part-time for flexibility if you’re a working professional.

Learn to interpret and evaluate climate change research and policy and gain professional skills in research execution, collaborative problem solving, and effective written and oral communication. 

Note: Students in this program can apply to transfer into the Master of Climate Change (MCC) - Internship program after completing at least one academic term, with admission decided based on progress and approvals.

Admission requirements

  • Students must have completed a four year honours bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a humanities, social science, health, engineering, science, or business discipline with an overall average of at least 75% in the final 20 courses (or last 2 years).
